Workshop Overview and General Information
Expressive Photography aims to run trips that are unique and focussed on one thing; building meaningful relationships with a wonderful landscape and making images that reflect each person’s individual perspectives and emotional spectrum.
Iceland is one of the most popular photography destinations in the world, and rightly so. With such dramatic and unique landscapes, it never disappoints. With some massive waterfalls, high chance of northern lights and the famous ice beach at Jokulsarlon, every trip is unforgettable.
The weather can be variable at this time of year, but for sure lots of warm gear and some form of slip-on crampons will be essential as many of the trails will be icy.
This trip will take in many of the most famous locations including Gullfoss, Seljelandsfoss and Skogafoss. The pinnacles and basalt columns at Vik. The Jokulsarlon lagoon and ice beach, and much more…
We will also make unscheduled stops wherever we see something that asks us to photograph it. We are there to engage with this wonderful landscape.
In addition to visiting so many beautiful locations, Alister will share a huge amount of teaching regarding his 5 triggers, expressive photography and creative development.
You’ll be staying in some ideally situated hotels and transported in a roomy and comfortable 9 seater van. Please note the price excludes lunch and evening meals. In our experience there is a wide disparity in what participants consume on a daily basis. Our pricing policy allows each of you to have what you want without overpaying.
The trip will start at 8am on the 9th February. You will need to arrive the day before and have a night at the airport at your own expense. The trip will end at Keflavik airport around 2pm on the 18th.
